Excel add-ins are files with extension *. xla or *. xlam, these files store information created in VBA code, may be functions, procedures, routines that you use frequently, can also be ribbons (ribbons options in Excel 2007).
One of the main advantages which have the code you use Excel as a supplement, is that these can always be used in any book that you and new you think. By creating an add only the code that contains that is available for all books, but not the content they have on their leaves.
To create a supplement to an Excel file (*. xls or *. xlsm), you must first file with the extension *. xla *. xlam or Save As select from the following options: Add-

Excel (*. xlam)
Excel 97-2003 Add (*. xlam)
Later in by clicking the Office Button , access Excel Options, and in the options bar on the left select Add .
Click on Go ... and a window appears where you select to examine . Select the file you saved as a complement, by default open the folder Microsoft / Ins. Then loading the file with check marks which correspond to the active and ready. Good luck.
