Exercise 2.7 Measures of central tendency
In a group of data, when analyzed statistically, rather than listing each item on a long distribution of numbers, it tends to summarize the data by choosing a representative number, called average or measure of central tendency (MTC .)
This representative number can be chosen in three different ways, depending on the situation and the type of data being handled:
1. Arithmetic Mean: results from dividing the sum of all data between the number of them, is the most common of the MTC, the formula is:
2. Medium: In the ordered list of data is the data which is right in the middle, if the number of data is odd, if even it takes the average of the two data are in the middle (only if different).
3. Fashion: It's the figure most repeats. A data group may have more than one mode or none.
