Get the absolute number more than one data set

This query I received from a partner when developing a hydrology work in the office where we work. He had to find a group of meteorological stations (rainfall record) those most closely correlated, the HEC-4 throwing these correlations, however, placed between a large data information containing positive and negative values, that with the highest correlation coefficient, ie between the absolute maximum.

Suppose we have the following data set:

where labels H100, H101, ... H107 are the parameters that are correlated, in this case rainfall stations. H100, are correlated against each other, for example to see which is best correlated with H104, except herself, choose the one with highest absolute value in this case is -0.84, but like to know if the smaller of the negative or largest of which is more positive way.

This can be done by solving the above comparison:
MAX (B6: I6) -
more positive value MIN (B6: I6) - negative goodwill

comparing the absolute value function If you get the answer. See the attached excel file .
